Mrs. Catalano was born and raised in the Cortland area and graduated from Cortland High School. She attended college at TC3 and has been married for 34 years having three now adult children. She spent 30 plus years as a home daycare provider, obtaining certification as a NYS Registered Home Day Care through OCFS and obtaining a CDA certification. With an empty nest at home she decided to close her home day care. She worked in the food service industry for a few years, which made her realize what she missed and where her true passion was; that is, caring for and teaching children.
She has been a lifelong communicant of St Mary's Church and when the opportunity arose to work at St. Mary's School as a Pre K Teacher's Aide, she embraced that opportunity. She is enjoying herself tremendously and feels blessed to be working with children again at St Mary's School.
Mrs. Hoyt has worked at St. Mary's After-School Program for five years before joining the St. Mary's team full time. All five of her children have attended St. Mary's School as well as her husband. Mrs. Hoyt says she loves this school and everyone that makes it such a wonderful family. She truly feels blessed to be a a part of the St. Mary's family.
Mrs. Barber is a proud mother of 8 children. Family is everything to her. Since 2013 Mrs. Barber has been on assignment with us, working for Cortland City Schools. She loved St. Mary's so much that she officially joined our school family in 2017.
