Q: Do you offer financial aid?
A: Yes! Financial aid is available for grades K-6. The application process begins in February for the following school year so we encourage you to apply early.
Q: What are the regular school day hours?
A: Students may arrive between 7:50am and 8:15am. Students may be picked up between 2:45pm and 3:10pm.
Q: Do I need to be Catholic to attend St. Mary's School?
A: No! We are open to all.
Q: How do I pay tuition?
A: We use FACTS for tuition management. Payments can be made online or in the office. You may choose to pay in one lump sum or in 10 monthly payments (Sept - June). See the tuition contract for more information.
Q: Does my child need to be potty trained?
A: Yes, all students must be toilet independent.
Q: Do you offer bus transportation?
A: Bus service is through the student's home district. Families must register through their home district to set up bus transportation.
Q: Are breakfast and lunch offered?
A: Yes, our breakfast and lunch programs are offered through Cortland City Schools. The program is FREE for the 2023-24 school year. We offer hot lunch and a second choice for students. Ice cream is offered for $1 on Fridays.
Q: What is the family volunteering requirement?
A: Each family is required to volunteer 10 hours per school year as noted on the tuition contract. There are a number of opportunities throughout the year including monthly Parents Guild meetings, room parents, Christmas Bazaar, among other events that help to fulfill. This fosters a sense of community and helps families to stay involved. A buyout option is available for $400.
Q: Do you offer before and after school care?
A: Yes! We offer before school care from 7:15am to 7:50am. After school care runs from 3pm to 5:30pm. The cost is $7 per hour and is pro rated. Every student is automatically enrolled and families may use the program as needed. Families are billed monthly.
