Mrs. Laurie Stannard
Laurie Stannard first joined St. Mary's faculty in 2002. Returning in 2012, she feels blessed to have the opportunity to teach at St. Mary's, once again. "I feel like St. Mary's is my extended family," Stannard said. "I am so happy to be a part of a school community that is so welcoming, kind, and committed to creating a wonderful spiritual and academic environment."
Laurie received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from SUNY Cortland in 1999, and her NYS Teaching Certification in Pre-K - 6 in 2001. Additionally, she received her Master's Degree in Teaching Students with Disabilities from SUNY Cortland in 2008.
In her spare time, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family (her three-year old nephew brings her so much joy)
and reading. She is excited to welcome her first child in December 2012. "I couldn't ask for a better place to work as I prepare to welcome my baby in a few short months!"
